Part I is an all day field trip to Dia:Beacon to see Joan Jonas The Shape the Scent the Feel of Things a new performance she specifically developed in 2005 for Dias Riggio Galleries. This performance responds to German art historian Aby Warburgs essay about his visit to the American Southwest. Jason Moran who will perform live on the piano has composed the music for this collaborative work. 8 am bus departs from MIT Museum 265 Mass.
