Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the XS Engineering Power IC intercooler system
for the 2003-06 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Utilizing state of the art design
and manufacturing processes, XS Engineering has designed this Power IC
system to complement the 4G63s inherent ability to operate at extreme boost
pressure levels by allowing it to do so without penalty of increased intake air
temperature or pressure drop. Please take the time to read through and
understand this manual fully before you proceed with the installation process.
Installation
(NOTE: These instructions are just general guidelines for the removal
and reassembly of the intercooler system, factory bumper, bumper
reinforcement and related assemblies. Please refer to the factory service
manual for detailed step-by-step directions for the removal and
reassembly of these components.)
1. Remove bumper and bumper reinforcement. Remember to
disconnect the water hose for the intercooler spray system (located
on the bumper cover).
2. Remove the factory intercooler.
3. Remove both rubber elbows (that connect the factory intercooler
core to the intercooler pipes) from the factory intercooler pipes.

4. Remove the left and right plastic intercooler shrouds so that they
do not obstruct the intercooler end tanks. Optionally you can trim
the shrouds to fit for optimum air shrouding: Make sure to use the
