Security and Mobile Connectivity Products
Policy for Product End of Sale and End of Maintenance
Security and Mobile Connectivity is strongly committed to our customers and to offering a leading
edge product portfolio. From time to time Security and Mobile Connectivity will discontinue the
sale of existing products as we renew our portfolio. Security and Mobile Connectivity policy is to
provide no less than ninety (90) days notice of intent to discontinue. Security and Mobile
Connectivity will continue to offer technical support for those products for a limited time. The
following is the Security and Mobile Connectivity Policy for Product End of Sale (EOS) and End of
Maintenance (EOM) for all products except the Nokia IP30, IP40, Check Point Software, and
Security and Mobile Connectivity operating system software granted E3 and EAL4 certification. The
variance for these products from the stated commitment is noted below in boldface .
Security and Mobile Connectivity will support the Nokia IPSO operating system software, the Nokia
IP VPN Gateway software, and the Nokia SSL VPN software release versions for up to three years
from the release date of the successor release version. This three-year period is comprised of a two-
year period of Full Remedial Support followed by a one-year period of Critical Security Fix Support.
The definitions for these periods are listed later in this document. (Example: IPSO 3.7.1 superseded
IPSO 3.7 in November of 2003. IPSO 3.7 will continue to be supported through November of 2006.)
Security and Mobile Connectivity will provide support for End of Sale platforms in any new IPSO, IP
VPN Gateway and SSL VPN releases for a period of two years after the last time buy date. For
