Please forward this information to yourmembers.SAE 5W20 engine oil continues to be the only recommended oil for most Ford vehicles and the Mazda Tribute. The Ford Engineering Material Specification for SAE 5W20 service fill oils remains WSSM2C153H which specifies ILSAC GF3 requirements and the display of the API Certification Mark. Inaddition it specifies the doublelength ASTM Sequence IIIF test. SAE 5W20 oil provides our customerswith improved fuel economy and oil life performance. We continue to promote it strongly for ourcustomers and request the support of oil marketers to continue supplying SAE 5W20 oils to Ford MotorCompany customers.SAE 5W30 is recommended for the SVT Focus 2.0L Zetec HP and 4.0L V6 applications which are theonly gasolinefueled vehicles not recommending SAE 5W20. The Ford Engineering Material Specification for SAE 5W30 service fill oils is WSSM2C205A which specifies ILSAC GF3requirements and the display of the API Certification Mark. Fuel recommendations are similar to previous model Owner Guides with no significant changes.
