AUTO REPAIR REFERENCE CENTERPage 1ARRC 1/25/05 page 1AUTO REPAIR REFERENCE CENTERThe Auto Repair Reference Center is a full text database containing information on Repair procedures service bulletins service recalls wiring diagrams labor and quick tips for automobiles produced between 1954 and 2004. Not all types of automobiles are represented in the database and not all information is available for those automobiles that are represented in the database.Two tabs along the top of the screen offer general repair information:Care & Repair Tips and Troubleshooting. Clicking on either one will take you to a table of contents and a search box.SEARCHINGThe Auto Repair Reference Center is a menu driven search system. When you enter the database you are given a choice of model year. The oldest model year represented is 1954.Click on your choice of model year. This should bring up a list of one or more car makers. If it does not bring up a list of car makers there is no information available for that year.Click on the car maker of your choice. This will bring up a list of models manufactured by that car maker. Click on the model of your choice.When you click on the model you will either get a list of topics available under that model or a list of submodels under that model. Click on your choice of topic or submodel.Possible topics can include:Repair Procedures (brings up the table of contents for the repair manual use the table of contents links to navigate within the manual)Service Bulletins and Recalls (brings up a list of service bulletins and repair/product recalls associated with that model)Wiring Diagrams (usually a PDF file)Labor(type in a labor pricehourly charge and a diagnostic pricehourly charge; pick system subsystem an operation and whichever features you like and the program will check estimated time to completion of that operation and give you an estimate based on the hourly charges you listed.Quick TipsNot all topics are available for all years listed or ...
