Formed by Mayor Chris Koos of the Town of Normal the Task Force consists of individuals representing business government and labor from an 18 county region in Central Illinois. These counties are home to employees of the Mitsubishi Motors manufacturing facility located in McLean County and many are also home to companies that supply parts andequipment to the Mitsubishi plant.The Task Force has the full support and cooperation of Mitsubishi Motors of North America CEO and President of Manufacturing Mr. Shiro Futaki other local Mitsubishi plant officials including Chief Operating Officer Jerry Berwanger and representatives of UAW Local 2488 including President Ralph Timan. The Task Forces ultimate objective is to assist Mitsubishi in achieving its goal of returning the local plant to full production and full employment.
